Job Offer Description

The Mining Residue Management Project Manager will be responsible for a team that works as consultants in the field of safe and responsible management of mining residue and water storage facilities. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the budgets and schedules of the various projects under their responsibility, as well as providing technical support for these projects. He or she will also participate, for example, in the design of manuals, plans, and tools for mine tailings management (OES manual, emergency plan, TARP, risk register, etc.). He or she will be the first point of contact for all projects under his or her responsibility. Finally, he or she will be involved in the company's business development.

The project manager will be required to continuously expand their expertise by participating in association and group initiatives with the aim of learning and applying industry best practices.

The candidate will be supported by the team of directors. He or she will be responsible for a team of project managers and project assistants. He or she will report to the Director of Operations.

The project manager must be familiar with the requirements of certain standards and regulations, such as Directive 019, the Quebec Dam Safety Act, ICOLD (International Commission on Large Dams), the VDMD (Towards Sustainable Mining Development) initiative, GISTM (Global Industry Standard for Tailings Management), and the CDA's dam safety recommendations (Canadian Association of Dams). He or she must also have experience in project management and budget monitoring.

Experience and qualifications

· Bachelor's degree (BAC) in mining, geology, or civil engineering, with a master's degree being an asset;

- Great interest in dike and dam safety;

· 5+ years of experience in the design, construction, or supervision of embankment dikes or related structures, such as basins, spillways, and ditches.

- Autonomy and initiative;

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office;

· Proficiency in modeling software used to analyze structural stability and water flow (an asset);

· Good knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) modeling software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Muck 3D (an asset);

- Enjoy working on several projects at once;

- Good organizational skills, rigor and ability to work in a team;

- Good writing skills in French and English;

· Good ability to communicate and teach.
